late winter wedding in the garden...

The Monday after a wedding is always a bit slow and the time change hasn't helped. Peonies, ranuncules, hydrangeas, tuberose, garden roses, hyacinth, tulips, vibernum, seeded eucalyptus, hanging amaranthes and anenomes! We also cut branches from a few local farms. The wedding was under the stars at Elmwood Gardens in Brushy Creek Tx. and the weather was perfect. Here are a few shots we took...

Late winter

well spring is just around the corner and valentines is tucked away until next year. The shop was filled with the most unusual custom arrangements for lots of lucky women. I love it when we have "all hands on deck". We came early stayed late everybody was tired and running on adrenaline. Only had 2 people get sick this year which was a blessing. Last year I was 8 months pregnant and not pleasant. Anyways a few stems we had... peonies, hydrangeas, parrot tulips, anenomes, french ranuncules, skimmia, cherry blossom, garden roses, double blooming daffs, freesia, tuberose, hyacinth, jasmine, dahlias lots of amazing fragrant stems. I will pst some photos of Vday soon. We have a new candle line Zodax there are four fragrances all poured into a handthrown ceramic vase and tucked in a small kraft bow tied off with grosgrain ribbon. Great gift but at only $35 you can treat yourself. So the tulips this week are amazing, pale green with pale pink stripes through, hot red with like 100 petals, this irredescent color so cool, one that looks like marble the most unusual shipment yet!! them It's like Christmas when we open the boxes. Stop by the shop and smell all the blooms!

New!!

The most beautiful wreaths have just arrived. They are made from honeysuckle vine which is bendable and light weight. They have turtle shells, horns, pheasant capes, pomegranates, moss, lichen branches, little nests with f aux robin eggs, and many more little treasures nestled in them. Any way they are unique and wonderful. What makes them even more incredible is the woman behind them lives on a big ranch which is where she gathers most of the materials. She volunteers at a ministry to help released inmates get back on their feet. She employs many of them to help gather materials for her wreaths garlands ect... so cool. We have received our TOKYOMILK perfumes, lip balms and greeting cards they are so adorable (great stocking stuffers)! POTTING SHED CREATIONS has arrived ie: potted amaryllis with wheat grass in recyclabowls and holiday tulips in the same. Great gifts to travel with or have us ship for you. Just a few inticing new things for you to come to the shop and check out. You might have received our mailer for fresh holiday wreaths and gardlands. Call the shop 903-526-0664 for 15% off your order. Hope to see you soon.

Fall @ Garden Style

Well fall has arrived!!! It is our most favorite time of the year at the flower shop.......mini pumpkins, chinese lanterns, bittersweet, safflower, moss is extra green, lichen branches cox comb as you can see there are too many to list. The mixtures tightly nestled up together in some of our pottery, or a simple thick glass cylinder wrapped with fall foliage and tied off with raffia is just altogether lovely! Suzy is busy creating little dried flowers atop all shapes colors and sizes of pumpkins. We even picked up some fresh gourds shaped like apples with this very distressed green shade. You can give them as unexpected gifts for friends or we have them big enough to set as your dining room table centerpiece. Possibilities are endless with these babies. With Rose festival wrapped up we can focus on fall and dinner parties, weddings and helping create peoples ideas they dream up! We enjoy the challenge of interesting ideas. We also just received the sweetest little perfumes handmade in Colorado TOKYOMILK.com the bottles come wrapped in vintage bird prints. They make a card line with witty phrases and a simple drawing with a touch of glitter on a specific place on the sketch, which we will be receiving soon. Just to let you all know about some of the things to expect for the fall are..... new adamceramics glazed terra cotta , Saipua handmade soaps, Volupsa candles , silk ribbons for fall or holiday wreaths and more. Open late on Thursday nights this month and next for live music, coffee and art at Caffe Tazzza (next door)
